WHO ARE WE?

mission

mission

Save the bees is a not-for-profit organisation based in Mississauga, Ontario that is advocating for the protection and preservation of the bee community in forest biomes in Canada to promote biodiversity.

We work closely with professionals in local universities and larger environmental organisations to bring you credible and recent information on bees, causes of their population decline, reasons why they are important, and measures taken to protect them.

Our main mission is to inform the public of the importance of bees, and how they can too help save the bees.

did you know?

The average worker bee produces only about 1/12th teaspoon of honey in her lifetime.

A colony of bees consists of 20,000-60,000 honeybees and one queen. Worker honey bees are female, live for about 6 weeks and do all the work.
